The Research Technologies RT 1000 Laser is an advanced remote measurement and alignment device. It creates a 360 plane of light that can be used to align large structures far more efficiently that with direct contact measuring devices. Using visible, eye-safe laser light to establish relative position information in remote active sensors, the RT 1000 is the perfect tool for aligning large structures on multiple axes with great precision. Its articulated head can deliver +/- 9 degrees of angular pitch and roll, as well as vertically translating .5 inches; in units as small as one micron. The RT 1000 laser uses the Optomux protocol for communication so that a PC running RT engineered software, or your own custom application, can receive information and control the laser head via RS-485 digital data line. This tool is dependable, accurate, powerful, and easy to use.
